Metallica have added twelve North American dates to M72 for 2027, which takes a tour that started in April 2023 past its hundredth show. By their own count they have played 99 of them in 26 countries.
"We have been having so much fun on the road that we're going to keep M72 rolling!" the band said. Limp Bizkit and Avatar come back with them, and the round stage at the fifty yard line with the Snake Pit in the middle of it stays as it is.
The run opens on 8 May in Vancouver and finishes in Salt Lake City on 19 June, through NFL and CFL stadiums, college grounds and the homes of men's and women's football clubs, from Buffalo across to San Diego. Unlike most of M72 these are single nights rather than two-show weekends.
Tickets go on sale on Friday 25 September at 10am local time, with presales from Monday 21 September.
