Maison Dieu have released "Dio ci vuole nudi", the first single from Città Nascosta, their first album, which Octopus Rising and Argonauta Records put out on 23 October. A video came with it.

The song opens on a tagelharpa, the bowed lyre played in Scandinavia and Estonia long before the guitar reached either, and stays there long enough that the entry of the guitars lands as a change of century rather than a change of volume. What follows is slow and heavy, with Ester's voice over the top of it. The band say the title, which means God wants us naked, is about stripping away what is artificial and getting back to something older, the earth, the body and the spiritual instinct buried underneath.

They are a trio from Ancona, in the Marche, formed in 2015, quiet for five years and active again since 2022. Ester sings and plays guitar, Mauro plays bass and sings, Ivan plays drums. Before this album there were two singles, "Ellys" in 2024 and "Mandragola" this year, and the EP Herbacea, which Sliptrick Records released in 2025 and which they took around Europe on a long run of shows.
