Manes have announced To Burn Is To Shine for 27 November on Avantgarde Music, and Avantgarde have released Stones In Your Pocket from it.
The last album was Slow Motion Death Sequence in 2018, which makes this eight years, and for Manes that is close to normal: the gaps between their records have been long since the nineties, and the band that made Under ein blodraud maane has almost nothing left in common with the one that made the trip hop and electronics of Vilosophe except the refusal to repeat itself.
Avantgarde have put out every one of the recent records, which is the right pairing for a band whose catalogue is unplaceable by design.
