Mannkvern have released Send Your Sons to Bury Your Daughters, the seventh of eight songs on The Harlot's Wake, out on 4 December through WormHoleDeath.

The eighth is a cover of The Crystal Palace by Forlorn, and that choice says more about the record than any press line could. Forlorn were a Norwegian band from the second half of the 1990s whose records are remembered by a small number of people and almost nobody else, so covering them is a signal aimed at those people.

Two of the titles are in Norwegian, Tempelets Barn and Avgrunn, which points the same way, although Metal Archives places the project in Poznan.

It is one person. Orkana V writes and plays all of it, and the band only came into existence this year, so this album is the whole catalogue apart from two singles.

WormHoleDeath are an unusual home for a project that specific, and they have put the record out within twelve months of the band existing at all.
