Marty Friedman has announced fifteen European headlining concerts for April 2027, the first time he has toured the continent in twelve years.

The run opens on 4 April in the Netherlands and finishes on 23 April in Turkey, taking in France, the United Kingdom, Germany, Switzerland, Italy, Greece, Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Hungary and Poland on the way. The venues are clubs rather than halls, which for a guitarist with this history is a choice and not a limitation. Tickets are on sale now.

Alongside it he has released 2 Rebeldes in a Spanish language version, taken from Drama, the solo album Frontiers released in May 2024. His explanation of it is straightforward enough. It is a love letter to the Latin countries, he says, each of which holds its own memories for him but which share a language, so he made one Spanish song for all of them. Hal-Ca of Asterism sings it with him on the Latin American dates.

Friedman left Megadeth in 2000 and has built a career in Japan since, which is why European dates from him are rare enough to be news on their own.
