Master Boot Record will release Computer Metal on 30 October through Metal Blade Records. It follows Hardwarez, from 2024.
The album was written in MIDI, in Cubase, with the computer as the instrument rather than the recording device. What comes out is real guitar layered over synthesisers, which is the method the project has used from the start, pushed further here on the production side.
Vittorio D'Amore, who is the whole band, set out the difference between this record and the last one. "Hardwarez was about the hardware. Computer Metal is about the machine as a whole."
Ten tracks, opening with the first single, "DOT MATRIX", and closing with "CTRL+ALT+DEL".
