Memoriam have released Nothing More To Say, the first song from Endgame, and it is also the album's opening track. The record arrives on 29 January through Reaper Entertainment and is, by the band's own account, their last.

Karl Willetts, who sang in Bolt Thrower before this band existed, says the title reads differently now that he knows what follows it. There is something deeply moving in those words, he told the announcement, and knowing this will be the final album gives them a meaning that reaches past the song. He calls it the right place to start the last chapter.

The rest of what he says is about what the band was for. Memoriam gave him a way to put anger, grief, frustration and hope into music and to share those feelings with people who recognised them, and he describes pride rather than regret at the end of it. Releasing the single is an emotional moment for him in two directions at once: the first step in sharing a record that matters to them, and the first step in leaving this part of their lives behind.

Then he answers his own title. There is still something to say, he says, and this is Endgame. A band formed out of remembrance after a death in that circle choosing its own ending is a rarer thing in death metal than a farewell tour.
