Meshuggah are the first headliner announced for Milwaukee Metal Fest 2027, which runs from 14 to 16 May at The Rave and Eagles Club.
They play the Friday. The Saturday and Sunday headliners have not been named. Organisers also confirmed sets from Testament, Crowbar, Yob, Pig Destroyer and Repulsion, with the rest of the bill to follow.
The booking has a history behind it. The Swedish band played Milwaukee Metal Fest XII on 25 July 1998 at the Eagles Ballroom, during their first visit to the United States, and the organisers made a point of saying so. Twenty nine years later they come back to the same building as the name above the door.
Anyone holding a super early bird or early bird ticket also gets into a pre party on 13 May, at a venue still to be announced. Organisers describe 2027 as the fifth edition since the festival came back.
