Meshuggah play Welcome To Rockville at Daytona International Speedway between 6 and 9 May, which the festival confirmed on the same day the band announced their North American anniversary tour.
Two announcements in one afternoon is a booking agent clearing a desk, and the overlap is worth noting: Testament appear on the Rockville bill and are also special guests on the band's own run, so the two things are less separate than they look.
The rest of the names published so far make the usual Danny Wimmer mixture, which is to say it is not a metal festival in any narrow sense. Bullet For My Valentine, Poppy, Chad Gray, Loathe, Black Veil Brides, Vana, Sullivan King, The Prodigy, The Amity Affliction, Kublai Khan TX, Wind Rose, Ho99o9 and Sleep Theory are all confirmed, and more will follow.
It is the sixteenth year of the festival and the fortieth of the band, which is the kind of arithmetic a headline writes itself from. Daytona gets them in May.
