Metal Blade have put out a live video of Messa playing Thicker Blood at Freak Valley this year. It is the second song to come out of that performance, after Reveal, which went up ahead of the tour.

Both come from The Spin, the album Metal Blade released in 2025. A festival set filmed properly is worth more than one clip to a label, and two songs from the same afternoon suggests the tape was good enough to keep going back to.

The tour it was put out for has started. Twenty nights across Europe and the United Kingdom through October and November, opening at Le Dodu in Marseille on 27 October and closing at the Live Club in Trezzo sull'Adda on 21 November, by way of Barcelona, Madrid, Paris, Glasgow, Manchester, London, Tilburg, Antwerp, Berlin, Hamburg, Cologne, Munich and Zurich.

Freak Valley is the festival in Netphen, in western Germany, that programmes doom and heavy psych almost exclusively, and an Italian band that plays slower than most of the bill is the kind of booking it exists for.
