Metal Allegiance will play the House of Blues in Anaheim on Thursday 28 January 2027, the thirteenth January in a row they have done it.
The core is the same four: Mark Menghi, Alex Skolnick, Mike Portnoy and David Ellefson. The guest list is where the night is decided, and seven names are out already, Fredrik Akesson of Opeth, Bobby Blitz of Overkill, John Bush of Armored Saint, Marty Friedman, Todd La Torre of Queensryche, Troy Sanders of Mastodon and Angel Vivaldi, with more to come.
"It's hard to believe we first launched this Anaheim tradition back in 2014 when Metal Allegiance was just getting off the ground," Menghi said. The show sits in the week of the NAMM trade fair, which is why so many musicians are in the same part of California at once, and why the guest list keeps growing every year rather than thinning out.
