Seth top the Friday of Metalearth Festival, which holds its fifth edition in Brest on 13 and 14 November.
Belore and Hexecutor play the same night. Kozoria, Dust In Mind and Heartlay take the Saturday. Six bands over two days is a small festival by any measure, and that is the shape it has kept since it started.
What separates it from every other bill of this size is the theme. The weekend is built around marine pollution, which in a port city on the Atlantic is a local subject rather than a borrowed cause, and a metal festival choosing one at all is rare enough to note.
Seth have worked out of Bordeaux since 1995 and are among the few bands from the first French black metal wave still active under the name they started with. La France des maudits arrived in 2024 and is the most recent of them. Putting a band with that much behind it on a two day bill of six is the kind of booking a festival makes when the people running it go to shows themselves.
