Metalite release Discovery tomorrow, 25 September, through Reigning Phoenix Music.
Twelve tracks, opening on Our Time Has Come and running through Into the Maze, Cyberspace, Neon Rain, Starchild and Triforce. Reigning Phoenix has videos out for Starchild and Echoes of You, and the band put a cinematic trailer for the album on its own channel.
It is the fifth album since the band started in Stockholm in 2015, and the first since Expedition One in 2024. The one before that, A Virtual World, came in 2021, and Biomechanicals in 2019.
Erica Ohlsson has been the singer since 2019. Edwin Premberg, who has played guitar since the band began, is joined by Robert Örnesved on the second guitar and Robert Majd on bass, both in since 2016, with Erik Juntilla on drums since 2024. What they play is the synthetic end of Swedish power metal, keyboards well forward, songs built to a chorus rather than to a solo.
