Mnemocide release Kingdom Of Filth on 9 January through Fetzner Death Records, and have opened it with Death March.

The band name is the clue to the record. They explain it as memory murder, the erasure of collective memory, and the ten songs work through how deception operates in a world of greed, depravity and hatred. That is a more deliberate theme than the genre usually carries, and it has been there since they formed in the Basel region in 2017.

The music is described as forceful riffs and heavy grooves with deep vocals and melodic parts around them, which places this nearer the Swedish end of death metal than the American one.

Christoph Brandes recorded, mixed and mastered the album at Iguana Studios, as he has for this band before. Daroc, who plays samples and sings backing vocals, made the artwork and took the photographs, which keeps the whole package inside the group.

They play it live on the day of release, at the Freakout Festival at Kultur Marabu in Gelterkinden. This is their second full length after Feeding The Vultures in 2020, and the first since they grew from five members to six.
