Moorah have released "Demon za krkem" through Art Gates Records, the label calling it black metal with atmosphere and doom in it.
It is the third single they have put out this year, after "Eternal Ahasver" and "Left Hand of Darkness", all of them sitting around The Beast Called Ego, the second album. The first, Marnost nad marnost, came in 2021, five years and a lot of smaller releases earlier.
That release pattern is worth noticing. Czech black metal has historically been an album format scene, bands disappearing for four years and returning with a complete statement, and a band from Prague working in singles is behaving more like a label act than a cellar one. Signing to a Spanish label rather than a domestic one points the same way.
The band formed in 2019 and reached a live album by 2024, which for a project this young means they play out rather than stay on record.
