Morbidity have released Bursting Through The Flesh from Cemetery Onslaught, their first album, due on 18 December through Iron Fortress Records.
Nine songs, and the titles make no attempt at subtlety: Rest In Putridity, Pathogenic Creation, Inhumane Reanimation. The label names Gorguts, Cannibal Corpse and Repulsion and means the earliest records by all three, before any of them had been imitated into a style.
The production line-up is the Bay Area one rather than a Chicago one. Matt Aguilar recorded it at Furnace Lab, Greg Wilkinson mixed and mastered it at Earhammer, and GruesomeGraphx drew the cover and the logo.
The same label is pressing Malignant Necropsy, the 2024 EP that introduced the band, to CD in the same month, which puts a three year old group's whole catalogue on a shelf at once.
This is a band from Chicago, formed in 2023, and this is the first thing of theirs that will exist as an album.
