Mørkgrim have put out a video for BLÓÐSVǪRR, and the album behind it has been thirty-two years coming. Sǫgur frá Norðfirði arrives on 2 October through Soulseller Records.

Hrafngrímnir founded the project in 1994 and wrote songs for it then, but recorded none of them: he was playing in other black metal bands instead. Decades later he went back to it, and looked for a place to make it that matched what he had originally meant. He found a remote farm, where he wrote and recorded the record and where he still lives, without municipal water and without a flushing toilet.

What came out of that is early-nineties black metal with acoustic folk in it, on nature, the old gods and Norse magic. He plays vocals, guitars, bass, keyboards and programming; Nils "Dominator" Fjellström joined on drums in 2023. The Icelandic singer Saga B sings lead on Freyja Kvað.
