The Motorhead estate has released a short film in which Cameron Webb explains his remix of Orgasmatron, made from the original multitracks for the album's fortieth anniversary.

This is the part of a reissue campaign that usually goes unexplained, and it matters here more than most. The production of Orgasmatron has been argued about since 1986, by the band as much as by anyone else, and underneath the argument was a record with Orgasmatron, Deaf Forever and Built For Speed on it.

Webb goes through what the tapes held, what he found that had been buried, and he frames the work as a tribute to Lemmy and to the two engineers who made the original, Bill Laswell and Jason Corsaro. Crediting the men whose mix you are replacing is not the usual posture for a remix.

The album was made by the line-up of Lemmy, Phil Campbell, Wurzel and Pete Gill, and it pushed the band heavier without losing the speed.

Built For Speed was the second song released from the remix, with an animated lyric video by Lee Gregory.
