Bloodstock have handed over the whole thing rather than a single song: pro shot video of Municipal Waste's complete set on the Ronnie James Dio Stage, played on Friday 7 August at the festival's twenty fifth anniversary edition.
The set is sixteen songs and moves the way their sets always do, which is to say it barely stops. It opens on Breathe Grease and runs through Grave Dive, You're Cut Off, Inebriator, the Thrashing Of The Christ and Poison The Preacher pairing, High Speed Steel, Blood Drive and a Sadistic Magician into Slime and Punishment. Shred-Necks, Beer Pressure into Thrashin', Wave Of Death, Restless and Wicked, I Just Wanna Rock and Mind Eraser follow, and the Art Of Partying into Demoralizer leads to Born To Party at the end.
The band formed in Richmond, Virginia, and have spent more than two decades on the same mix of thrash metal and hardcore punk. The festival's own note calls them one of the most recognisable names in crossover thrash, which is the sort of thing a festival says and in this case is simply true.
