Myrath have released their version of "Shape Of My Heart", the Sting song, as a new single. It follows Wilderness Of Mirrors, the band's album from this year.
The band present it as a reinterpretation rather than a straight cover, rebuilt around their mix of Eastern melodies and progressive metal arrangements, while keeping the sense of mystery and longing of the original.
The single comes a week before the next leg of their European tour, which opens at Les Trinitaires in Metz on 17 September. It passes through Germany, Scandinavia, the Netherlands and Belgium before reaching The Dome in London on 7 October, followed by Manchester, Glasgow, Quest Fest in Wolverhampton and Bristol. A run through France, Spain and Portugal follows, with Paris, Madrid, Lisbon and Barcelona among the stops, and the last date on the list is 28 October at La Rayonne in Villeurbanne, near Lyon.
Myrath formed in Tunisia in 2006. Wilderness Of Mirrors followed Karma, released in 2024.
