Mystifier have a new split album out. Absolute Fucking Possession, shared with the black metal project Hessian, is on digital platforms now through Wormholedeath Records with Southern Soundclash Records.
Wormholedeath call it a meeting of two forces from the underground, which is label language, but in Mystifier's case the pedigree is real: they formed in Salvador in 1989 and Goetia is one of the records that made Brazilian black metal a thing distinct from the Norwegian version, keyboards and all.
There are three bands called Hessian on Metal Archives and the label does not say which one this is, so we are leaving it as the label describes it: a black metal project.
