Die Apokalyptischen Reiter have signed to Napalm Records, which is a tidy piece of business for both sides: a band thirty one years into a career with twelve albums behind it, and a label whose roster is built on exactly that kind of catalogue. The thirteenth album has been in progress for almost two years and the band put it at summer 2027.
They said the ink had only just dried and that they had long been working on the thing it was always about, which is new music. Napalm's senior A and R Sebastian Munch also spoke about the signing.
Before the final sessions they play the Schrei!Nachten run between Christmas and New Year, a fixture in their calendar, with Robse and Disillusion. The band came out of Thuringia in 1995 and wrote in English in their early years, which is most of why the audience outside Germany exists at all.
