Neonfly have released a live video for "More Than A Lifetime", filmed at Karmoygeddon in Norway in May.
The band played the festival's second stage two years earlier and were moved to the main stage for this one, which is the only promotion that counts at that level. They took the full production with them, fire breathing and fire dancers included, at a festival whose audience leans a good deal more extreme than they do.
The song itself was never a single. It sits on The Future, Tonight as an orchestral power ballad, the slow one between the fast ones, and it earned its place in the set by being the thing people waited for rather than by being pushed at them.
Metal Shock Finland call them an alternative metal act, which is one reading. The catalogue says melodic power metal, three albums deep since 2008, and the truth is somewhere in the overlap, which is where this band has always sold tickets.
Norway has taken to them, and the video is the thank you note.
