Nerumia have released the words to "Aliénation", the song that gives their new album its name. The history behind it is harder than most.
Pasquale Rivetti started the project in the Swiss mountains in 2001 with Philippe Privet. They made two albums, The Land of the Black and I Don't Understand, and then Privet died suddenly in 2009 and the band stopped for ten years.
It restarted in 2020 with two new players, Magnus and Juan. Juan died in 2022, with his guitar solos already recorded, and the others finished Senza Realtà around them rather than replacing them. That is a decision about what a record is for, and it is the reason the 2023 album exists at all.
They are a trio again, with Adrien on the second guitar, and Rivetti still doing the concept, the lyrics, the guitars, the drums and the lead vocals. Five albums in twenty five years, two of them finished after a funeral.
