Thirty years of singing in English end with one song: NervoChaos have released Lorde dos Mortos, the first track the Sao Paulo band have performed entirely in Portuguese since they formed in 1996. It is the second preview of Chaosmongers, due 13 November through Black Lion Records.
The video came from outside the usual metal channels. It was produced and scripted by Rodrigo Aragao, a filmmaker who has spent his career on Brazilian horror, and the band describe the meeting plainly. “Brazilian extreme metal meets Brazilian horror cinema,” they said. The song itself follows a sovereign of the realm of the dead who can return the dead to the living, which is the figure the whole album circles.
Chaosmongers holds eleven original tracks and a cover of Ratos de Porao's Porcos Sanguinarios. Edu Lane produced, Adriano Daga recorded it in Sao Paulo, and Fredrik Nordstrom mixed and mastered. Niklas Sundin made the visual identity. The record comes out on CD, vinyl and digitally through Black Lion, with Tumba Records licensing the CD and vinyl for Brazil.
