Nidare have released "Schweigen", seven minutes long, the first song from an album Moment of Collapse will put out in 2027. The subject is institutional silence around abuse, and the band have not written it as a song about a villain.
That is the distinction they are making. The target is not the individual but the structure: the point at which protecting a reputation becomes the quiet policy, perpetrators stay unaccountable because accountability would cost the institution more than the silence does, and the people who were harmed are left with nothing.
Post black metal is a reasonable register for it. The genre's long builds give a seven minute song room to state the case before it gets loud, and the band call this one of their most direct statements, which in a scene fond of abstraction is a decision rather than a default.
A long European tour follows. The album has no title and no date yet beyond the year.
