Nightwish and Floor Jansen have separated. The band put the statement on their own Facebook page and gave the reason as mutual agreement: "After careful consideration, we have, in mutual agreement, decided to part ways."

Jansen sang with them for fourteen years. She came in on tour in 2012, after Anette Olzon left mid run, became a full member in 2013, and recorded three albums: Endless Forms Most Beautiful, Human. :II: Nature. and Yesterwynde. That is longer than either of the two singers before her lasted. In 2022 she told Metal Rules that "Nightwish is forever in my heart; I can't imagine leaving it."

The band are not stopping. "Nightwish will continue," the statement reads. "We will move forward and enter the studio in 2027 to record a new album." No replacement has been named and no reason beyond the wording has been given, which for a band that has twice made its singer changes very public is a notably quiet exit.

"For you, dear listener, and indeed for us, this marks the end of a truly great voyage," they wrote. It arrives in their thirtieth anniversary year.
