Nihilo release Abyss tomorrow, 3 November, through Xtreem Music. Ten songs, and the fifth full length in a catalogue that has kept a stricter schedule than most bands manage by accident.

Concordia Perpetua in 2010, Dum Spiro Spero in 2014, Doom in 2018, Resolution in 2022, Abyss in 2026. Four years between each one, four times over, from a band that formed in Huttwil in 2003 and now works out of Bern. Sixteen years of that is not a release strategy, it is simply how long this group takes to finish a record.

The tracklist runs Primal Instinct, Voidbound, Impending Doom, Dishonored Death, Inherent Cracks, Veil of Nothing, Suffocating Silence, Fractured, Roots in Bone and Enter the Abyss. Two of those are already out: Primal Instinct opens the album and was the first piece Xtreem put up, and Dishonored Death followed as the last one before release.

Ragulan Vivekananthan sings. The band described the record as their darkest and most aggressive when that second song appeared, which is the usual claim and, in this catalogue, a traceable one.
