Nokturnal Mortum release Біль | Hurt tomorrow, 25 September, through Oriana Music. It is filed as an EP and it runs forty four minutes.
Six tracks. To Those Who Went Down the Tysyna River opens at 7:34. First Steps of Freedom... The Flavor of Doom in Eight Years is the longest at 9:06. Weltanschauung shares its title with the band's 2004 album, and the record closes on a live recording of Ukraine.
It is the first Nokturnal Mortum release since До лунарної поезії in 2022. The band formed in Kharkiv in 1994 and the current line up runs to eight people. Knjaz Varggoth has been there from the start, credited with vocals, guitars, drums, keyboards and a row of Ukrainian folk instruments including the drymba, the kobza and the telynka. Saturious, in since 1996, carries bass, keyboards, flute, ocarina and sopilka.
Two of the others left in the nineties and came back in 2020: Wortherax, who played guitars on the earliest records, and Karpath. Bairoth has been on drums since 2009, Odalv shares them, Aywar plays guitars and Surm has handled keyboards, dulcimer and pipes since 2018. They are one of the bands the site's account of black metal in Ukraine is built around.
