Noothgrush released four records between September and December 1996 and almost nobody has heard all four. Man is His Own Tormentor puts them on one disc and is streaming in full.

The four were Embraced by the Anti Self, a seven inch; the double seven inch compilation Cry Now, Cry Later Vol. 4; a six way split with a title that will not be printed here in full; and Useless, a split with Agents Of Satan. Bits of all of it have surfaced on later collections. This is the first time the whole lot sits together.

With it comes the KZSU radio session from 1 May 1996, which circulated for years as a home dubbed cassette, and a live recording of Friends of Mine from February of that year that has never been on CD at all.

The band formed in Oakland in 1994, built a catalogue almost entirely out of splits and compilations through Slap A Ham, Pessimiser and Deep Six, stopped in 2001 and came back for a stretch between 2011 and 2018. Nespithe Records are pressing two hundred CDs with an eight page booklet. The digital arrives on 30 October.
