Nordjevel will release Damnous, their fourth album, on 11 December through Season Of Mist.
Two producers worked on it, Kjartan Hesthagen at Studio Nyhagen and Fredrik Nordström at Studio Fredman, and Nordström mixed and mastered it as well. That is a particular choice for a Norwegian black metal band: Fredman is the Gothenburg studio that gave melodic death metal its sound in the nineties, and taking a black metal record there is a decision about clarity rather than atmosphere.
The band have been putting out records at a steady pace since forming, and a December release date is an odd one, far enough from the autumn rush to be noticed and too late for most lists of the year.
No tracklist or single has been announced yet, which leaves seven weeks for both. Season Of Mist have carried the band since the start, so the campaign will arrive in its own time rather than being rushed into the space a December date leaves.
