Nordjevel have released "Unbound in Death", the first song from Damnous, which Season of Mist put out on 11 December. It is their fourth album and the subjects are the ones they have always used: war, death, anti-Christianity and Norse mythology.

The line up is worth reading as a line up. Doedsadmiral sings, Destructhor plays guitars and bass, Sagstad is the second guitar, and John Longstreth is behind the drums, which puts an American session drummer best known from technical death metal inside a Norwegian black metal band and has been one of the odder things about this group for years.

The production is split in two. Kjartan Hesthagen did part of it at Studio Nyhagen and Fredrik Nordstrom the rest at Fredman, and Nordstrom mixed and mastered the whole thing. A Nordstrom mix on black metal usually means the guitars will be legible, which is a choice rather than a default in this genre.

Claudio Marino directed the film for it. Two months out from the album, this is the first of what will be several.
