Obituary will play two shows at the Brass Mug in Tampa for the remastered reissues Relapse Records puts out in December, one album a night.

Saturday 21 November is built around Xecutioner's Return from 2007, with Intoxicated, Must Not Kill, Three Knuckles Deep and Fatal opening. Sunday 22 November is a matinee for Darkest Day from 2009, with Mind Virus, Skull Crunch, Consume the Wolf and Scorch.

The Brass Mug holds a few hundred people and has been the small room in Tampa for forty years. A band that headlines European festivals booking it twice in a weekend, with eight local bands on the bills, is the point rather than an accident: these two records come from the stretch after the reunion, when Obituary were playing rooms exactly that size at home.

A Sunday afternoon show for the second album is the other unusual part. Matinees belong to hardcore, not to death metal, and putting the 2009 record in one gives the weekend two different crowds instead of the same one twice.
