Ophis have announced eight German dates for the Encased In Deathlike Layers tour, the first of them on 6 November at the Jugendhaus Ost in Wolfsburg, three weeks before the album itself arrives on 27 November through FDA Records.
The run is 6 November in Wolfsburg, 21 November at Bambi Galore in Hamburg, 12 December at the Cadillac in Oldenburg, then a break until 29 January at ArTik in Freiburg and 30 January at the Exil in Göttingen. February takes the band to Neue Zukunft in Berlin on the 12th and the Kulturbahnhof in Chemnitz on the 13th, and the last date is 24 April at the Bastard Club in Osnabrück.
The support changes almost every night. Lidrasyg and Utter Silence open the first two, Lightless joins in Hamburg, Ascian and Cirrus Prior play Oldenburg, and For Victory takes the four winter dates with Architects Of Aeon or Belligerence alongside. Osnabrück is the band alone.
The album is their sixth and the first in five years, after Spew Forth Odium. Six tracks, just under an hour, which averages out at about ten minutes a piece and is the length this Hamburg band have worked at since the early 2000s.
