Orbital Gate have put out "Neurotic Biomechanical Abomination" as a lyric video, the next piece of Engineering His Planetary Dominion, which arrives on 6 November.
The band play slamming brutal death metal and come from Cary, a small town an hour outside Chicago, which is not where this genre usually comes from. The album has been put together the way slam records are put together now, with five guest vocalists spread across it, the first of them from Enterprise Earth.
A lyric video is the standard format for this part of the genre, and it is a practical choice rather than a cheap one: the words are the single thing a listener cannot pull out of the recording unaided, and the artwork does the rest of the work.
Slam Worldwide carried the premiere, as they carried the Enterprise Earth collaboration and the album stream before it. The record is out on 6 November.
