Oskaal have put a lyric video to "Refused", the first song on (A)live, their debut album. The record came out on 25 September through Wormholedeath and runs to seven tracks.

The song is about the lasting marks left by abuse, which is the kind of subject a band either handles plainly or ruins. A lyric video is the format that says they want the words read rather than decorated, and it is the opening track, so it is also the first thing anyone hears from them.

The quintet come from Drammen and work the technical end of death metal, with the atmosphere turned up further than most bands in that corner bother with. For a debut from a band nobody outside Norway had heard of in the spring, a label and a seven song album inside the year is quick work.

Nothing has been announced after it. The album is the whole of what there is so far.
