Osyron have released "Telos", the opening song from a self-titled album that Distortion Music Group put out on 27 November.

Naming the fourth record after the band is usually a statement about identity, and here it is the subject too. Telos is the Greek word for an end purpose, and the song is about losing one to other people. "'Telos' is about recognizing that we've allowed external forces, society, institutions, manipulation, addiction, and manufactured desire, to dictate the course of our lives," the band said. "After losing ourselves in those systems, we recognize the cyclical trap we find ourselves in and decide to reclaim our identity, agency, pride, and ultimately our own purpose."

The arrangement does the same thing in miniature, cutting between rhythmic sections and long melodic ones rather than settling into either, with Reed Alton singing clean against the harsher parts.

The band have been going since 2012 out of Canada and spent the years after Momentous in 2022 abroad: Rock Castle in Czechia in 2023, sixteen North American dates with Seven Kingdoms, and Masters of Rock in 2024 on a bill with Judas Priest, Avantasia and Accept.
