Ov Sulfur have released a cover of Slayer's "Disciple", from God Hates Us All, which turns twenty-five this year. The band recorded it during the sessions for their most recent album, Endless.
Guitarist Chase Wilson kept it simple. "God Hates Us All has always been one of my favourite Slayer records. I'm stoked we got to put our spin on one of the sickest songs on it."
Vocalist Ricky Hoover treated it as an exercise. "I was excited when the guys decided to do a Slayer cover, as it allowed me to see if I could hit Tom Araya style vocals. He's a unique, stand-out voice in metal, and it was fun to see if I could add his signature melodic shouting to my repertoire."
The band tour Europe and the United Kingdom in November and December supporting Mental Cruelty, with Extermination Dismemberment, Acranius and Sun Eater. The run opens on 27 November at Baroeg in Rotterdam and takes in Cologne, Nijmegen, Birmingham, Manchester, London, Paris, Antwerp and Hamburg.
