Overkill will play Basinfirefest for the first time, at the four day festival in Spálené Poříčí from 23 to 26 June 2027.
They lead an international wave that also brought Metal Church and Sanctuary to the bill last week, and the newest announcement adds four Czech acts: Pražský Výběr, Alice & Dan Bárta, Debustrol and Kurtizány z 25. Avenue.
That mix is the point of this festival rather than an accident of booking. Pražský Výběr are a piece of Czech cultural history, art rock and new wave from a country where that meant something specific, and Debustrol have been playing thrash there since the eighties.
Overkill have existed since 1980 and tour Europe most years, so a first booking at a festival of this size says more about Basinfirefest growing than about the band, and the bill around them now runs from heavy metal and punk to metalcore and the extreme end.
