Overpower have released Chain Reaction, the latest song from ...And The Moon Became As Blood, which Church Road Records puts out on 29 January.
It is their first album, and it has taken them a while to get to one. The Bristol band have been releasing singles and an EP since 2024, with Terra Firma and Becoming the Tyrant that year and Terminus earlier in 2026, which is the normal way a crossover band builds in Britain now: play, record one song, play again, and leave the album until a label will pay for it.
Church Road is the right label for it. The Bristol and London end of this, where thrash and hardcore stopped being separate audiences some time ago, is most of what the roster does, and a crossover record is sold into that room rather than into the metal shops.
Pre-orders are open and the album arrives at the end of January.
