Paara have released a visualizer for Kylmään kylään, from Laulut tulen ja jään, which Dusktone put out on 30 October. It is their third album and the first since Riitti in 2018.

The CD runs Tuli, Kirveenkantaja, Vuorten varjoista, Kylmään kylään, Kutsuu M.A.N.A., Lapsi päivännäkemätön, Pimeyteen, Pohjolan and Jää. Finnish throughout, which matters here: the band write in the pagan and folk register of Finnish black metal, where the language is part of the instrumentation rather than a layer on top of it.

Paara formed in 2011. Zvartus plays guitars and sings, Helmouth takes the other lead vocal, Hahtezan has sung alongside them since 2017, Trangoth plays bass and Waara drums. Two more joined this year, Mørkgren on guitars and Juho Jokimies on bass, which is the first change in the line-up for some time.
