Pantera will headline The Great NOLA Trendkill at Lakefront Arena in New Orleans on 20 and 21 November. It is the band's first performance in the city in thirty years, and it falls in the thirtieth anniversary year of The Great Southern Trendkill, released in 1996.
The weekend also serves as the record release show for Down, whose album Volume V arrives on 20 November through Nuclear Blast Records. Black Label Society, Corrosion of Conformity, Power Trip, Crowbar, Eyehategod, Rade, Herakleion and Pig Destroyer complete the bill. Individual day line-ups will be announced later.
The festival is presented by Housecore Horror, Housecore Records and Live Nation, and brings back the Housecore Horror Festival for the first time in over a decade. Philip H. Anselmo, who fronts both headliners and runs Housecore, is programming film screenings and appearances across venues in the city alongside the arena shows. Those are ticketed separately from the arena weekend.
"To be back in New Orleans with such a package of bands and events is a dream come true," Anselmo said. "Besides Pantera and Down, we have great NOLA and national bands playing."
The artist presale opened on 8 September, Live Nation and Ticketmaster presales on 9 September, and general sale is 11 September at 11am Eastern. Travel packages with two-day tickets and hotel stays are being sold through vipnation.com.
