Prong have released Fear The Sun, the fifth track from an album that carries the band's own name and comes out on 6 November. It is their first record for Napalm Records.
Tommy Victor says the song reaches backwards on purpose. “It's a modernized version of the groove metal basics Prong laid a foundation for back with Beg To Differ,” he told the announcement, adding that the lyric is about living somewhere the seasons never change, taken metaphorically. The video is a static one.
Eleven songs, from The Banner through to Our Continuance, mixed and mastered by Andy Sneap at Backstage Studios. The CD adds two more: Out of Body, and a cover of Cruel Summer, the Bananarama single from 1983. A band whose reputation rests on New York hardcore rhythm and industrial edge closing its fourteenth album with that is either a joke or a dare, and Prong have never been careful about the difference.
