Pyroclast have signed a worldwide deal with Rockshots Records that puts Fractured State and No Place for the Damned into physical distribution from 11 December. CD pre-orders for both are open.

The timing is the interesting part. Fractured State came out independently on 4 September, which is seven weeks ago, and the band have gone from releasing it themselves to having it carried worldwide inside two months. "Signing with Rockshots gives us the opportunity to take that next step," Mark Reid said, "bringing our music to parts of the world that would have been difficult for us to reach on our own." That is the honest version of what a distribution deal is for.

With it comes a video for Prisoner Game, built on the 1971 Stanford prison experiment, the one where volunteers were handed the roles of guard and prisoner and whose methods and conclusions have been picked apart ever since. The band use it to get at identity, conformity and who gets to give orders.

Reid says it was the first song written for the record and the opening part of a trilogy on psychological experiments. Glasgow, two albums, one of them a renamed carry over from their Tantrum days.
