Quiet Riot have a new singer. John Torra is twenty three, from Long Island, and came out of an open call that brought in more than seven hundred submissions.
He did it the way it is done now: audition videos to the management, the same performances posted publicly, and enough of a response online to make the decision look obvious by the time it was announced.
He follows Jizzy Pearl, who sang for the band from 2013 to 2016 and again from 2019 until this year. The band have been looking since late August.
