Ram have put out a video for "Against", the title track of the album of the same name, which Metal Blade Records released earlier this year.
The band describe the song as written in a single burst, out of the feeling of standing against something far larger: a David and Goliath scenario, in their words, which is a fair description of a Swedish band that has spent twenty years playing traditional heavy metal straight while everything around it moved.
A video for the title track after the album is already out is not a sales push so much as a flag planted on the song the band want the record remembered by. On a Ram album that usually means the one with the longest run of unaccompanied riff before the vocal arrives.
Metal Blade carry the album, which for a band working this far inside a traditional form is the difference between touring Europe and touring a county.
