Rammstein have put out a first teaser for Live in Mexico City, the concert film taken from the three nights they played at the Foro Sol on 1, 2 and 4 October 2022.
Paul Dugdale directed it, which is a name that turns up wherever a stadium is being filmed properly: he has shot Adele, Taylor Swift, the Rolling Stones and Coldplay, and has four Grammy nominations for it. The cut runs two hours, twenty eight minutes and thirty four seconds.
When anyone gets to see it is the part still missing. Cinema listings that surfaced before any announcement point at selected theatres in November, with a home release behind it. The band have confirmed neither, and the teaser carries no date at all.
Four years is a long gap even for a band who are never in a hurry. The Foro Sol shows belonged to the stadium tour that followed Zeit, in a venue that held about sixty five thousand people a night and has since been pulled down.
