Repentance have put out a video for Fade Into Silence and dedicated it to Shaun Glass, their guitarist, who died earlier this year. He had also played in Broken Hope and SOiL.
Adam Gilly explained why this song and not another. “We decided that 'Fade Into Silence' would be the next single from the record because we wanted to dedicate this release to Shaun Glass,” he said. “Of all the songs on the record, 'Fade Into Silence' just felt like the perfect song to honor him, especially because it was a song that Shaun himself wrote.”
That is the whole of it, and it is the right way round: the tribute is not a new song written about him but the one he left. Retaliate, the band's third album, was meant to come out this summer. It was postponed after he died and now arrives on 27 November. A crowdfunding campaign was raised for his medical costs and for his son.
