Resin Tomb have released "Ancestral Agony", the latest song from Fetid Existence, which arrives on 15 January 2027 through Transcending Obscurity Records.

It sits sixth of eight on the record, after "Hollow Enlightenment", "Celestial Delirium", the title track, "Immolated" and "Desolate", and before "Snegurochka" and "Ignorance Unrivalled".

The album was announced with the title track, and the Brisbane band are doing what they usually do on the way to a release, which is let the songs out one at a time rather than make a single of any of them. Nothing here is built to be lifted out: the band write in dissonance and sudden stops, and a song pulled from the middle of that sequence tells you about texture rather than about a chorus.

It follows Cerebral Purgatory from 2024, which was their first full length after two EPs, and keeps the band on the same label.
