Rise Above Dead have released Drowning Slowly, the first single and video from Voidmass, and the news inside it is who is singing on it. Andrea Rondanini, the band's original vocalist, is back.

He left at the beginning of 2014, after the first album Stellar Filth, for personal reasons. The Milan band did not replace him. They carried on as an instrumental four piece, through Heavy Gravity in 2015 and Ulro in 2020, which means twelve years of records with no voice on them at all. That is the context for one single.

Voidmass arrives on 27 November through Argonauta Records, the band's first release for the label, and runs to six tracks: Annihilation/Rebirth, Drowning Slowly, Voices Fade Away, Fragile Ground, Event Horizon and Through Zenith, the last with a guest appearance from EMTU.

The line-up is Rondanini on vocals, Matteo Sala and Andrea Pesapane on guitars, Andrea Galliverti on bass and Carlo Carbone on drums. A release show is booked for 4 December at ARCI Blob in Arcore, with Baratro and Magnitudo.
